RIM Slashes All PlayBooks To $299

And another one.

2012 just started, but it's already looking like the year of the discount tablet. After Motorola and Sony announced significant price cuts to their latest offerings in the category yesterday, RIM is offering a new sale on its own PlayBook.

The company is selling all versions of the tablet— 16GB, 32 GB and 64 GB— for $299 for the next month. While the 16 GB has already received a hair cut from most retailers that brought it down to $199, the deal brings the larger models to their lowest price point yet. The 64 GB version in particular, has come a long way from its $699.99 beginnings.
