Bloomberg reported today that Apple's next-generation tablet, the iPad 3, has gone into production and is on track for a March release.
The report confirms numerous rumors that have been floating around. The iPad3, according to sources close to Apple's production side, will rock a high-resolution "Retina Display" with "pixels are small enough to make the images look like printed material", a quad-core processor, and support for 4G LTE networks.
The tablet will use a quad-core chip, an enhancement that lets users more quickly jump between applications, two of the people said.
