Catfight—the mere utterance of this word sends most men into drooling fits of fantasizing about two female combatants glistening with sweat as they tear each other’s clothes to shreds. It's no wonder then why the film industry has repeatedly staged scraps between beautiful actresses.
The best all-female fights involve far more than stereotypical slapping or hair pulling. They thrill and shock us with intense choreographed violence that rivals anything male action stars like Bruce Lee or Bruce Willis ever did. Last month's action spectacle Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, for instance, was stolen from megastar Tom Cruise by gorgeous Complex cover girl Paula Patton, who squares off against the equally fine Lea Seydoux in her character's emotional climax.

Call me crazy, but what about Sigourney Weaver vs. The Mother Alien in Aliens? I know the Alien is from a different species, on a different planet. But they're both female, and it's certainly iconic.

A few notable girl-on-girl fights you missed, and that may have been more worthy of inclusion than the ones you selected: - Bridget Bardot vs Claudia Cardinale in 'The Legend of Frenchie King' - JJ North vs Tammy Parks in 'Attack of the 60-foot Centerfold' - nothing but women fighting women in 'All the Marbles' - Michele Krasnoo vs Isabel Maria Chaney in 'Full Contact' - Cat Sassoon and others in 'Angel Fist'

The number one girl on girl catfight has to be the fights between Alena Johnson and Sabine Sun in the catfight cult classic by Terence Young, "Amazons" also released under the title "War Goddess" (or the original title of "Le guerriere dal seno nudo". As is typical of most movies in this list, the only reason to watch these movies is for the catfighting. Two versions of the movie had a clothed-bikini 2nd fight between the two rivals (who apparently fought each other on a regular basis growing up) and the non-US version where they fought nude with lighting flashing outside.
