Tonight marks the end of The Real World: San Diego. We didn't watch too much of the show's 26th season, but with all due respect, the series has given us some of the most unforgettable moments in TV history, often because of out-of-control female cast members. In our eyes, that's reason enough for MTV to keep running their groundbreaking reality show. Check out The 15 Craziest "Real World" Girls and relive the insanity.
Ayiia Elizarras
15. AYIIIA ELIZARRARAS
Season: Cancun (2009)
Ayiia joined the cast with baggage including problems with an ex and past drug problems. She developed trust issues with her housemates, resulting in some wild arguments, but still found time for sexual adventures with her female housemates, Jonna and Emilee. We love it when everyone kisses and makes up.
Irene McGee
14. IRENE MCGEE
Season: Seattle (1998)
During filming, Irene started to complain of headaches. It was revealed that "the cynical girl from New York state" had Lyme disease, and she left the house, but not without a bang. In what could arguably be the most infamous moment in Real World history, her roommate Stephen Williams chased her cab down after an intense verbal altercation and opened the door to slap her across the face.
Flora Alekseyeun
13. FLORA ALEKSEYEUN
Season: Miami (1996)
When someone describes themselves as a “free spirit” but at times, a “bitch,” you’ve got yourself a situation. Flora proved crazy by alienating her housemates with her “free spirit” ways and also destroyed the relationship with her boyfriend by having an affair during the season.
Paula Maronek
12. PAULA MERONEK
Season: Key West (2006)
Her nickname was Paula Walnuts because she went absolutely "nuts" with her body image obsession during the season. Outside of the show, she allegedly bit her boyfriend, which led to her arrest.
Coral Smith
11. CORAL SMITH
Season: Back to New York (2001)
Coral labeled herself the “bitch” from the jump and carried the persona through her stints on The Challenge competitions. Thanks to her assertive qualities, Coral ensured plenty of conflicts and a mass of entertaining reality TV. Scenes like the one where she went from ethering her sheltered white roommate, Mike a.k.a. “The Miz,” to teaching him about Malcolm X occured regularly.
Robin Hibbard
10. ROBIN HIBBARD
Season: San Diego (2004)
Before Robin was cast, she was dancing on top of tables in Coyote Ugly. MTV described her as a “gorgeous girl” who could help people “come out of their shells.” If by “party girl” they meant assaulting a Marine and spending the night in jail, then yes, Robin knows how to party hard.
Tami Roman
9. TAMI ROMAN
Season: Los Angeles (1993)
Tami's housemates thought it would be funny to mess with her by pulling her out of her bed, but she wasn't having any of it. She erupted after the incident, unleashing a barrage of expletives that had more bleeps on TV than a live Lil Wayne performance. That rant birthed her classic line, “Did you grow on a fucking tree?!”
Melissa Howard
8. MELISSA HOWARD
Season: New Orleans (2000)
Described as a "five-foot-two-inch bundle of manic wit," Melissa was like a firecracker going off in the streets during Mardi Gras. During her season, she was always in a habit of picking fights with the ladies and demanding attention from the guys at all times.
Ruthie Alcaide
7. RUTHIE ALCAIDE
Season: Hawaii (1999)
Ruthie had a penchant for being a violent alcoholic, which became apparent in the season’s opening episode when she passed out due to over drinking and her housemates had to call the paramedics. Needless to say, she made one hell of a first impression.
Brynn Smith
6. BRYNN SMITH
Season: Las Vegas (2002-2003)
These days, Brynn is married with three kids, but during her time on the show, she acted like anything but future housewife. After three days of getting to know her roomies, she had a threesome with Steven and Trishelle. Eventually, Brynn’s jealously over Steven and Trishelle’s stronger connection boiled over when she threw a fork at Steven, which resulted in producers removing her from the house for a short period of time.
Amaya Brecher
5. AMAYA BRECHER
Season: Hawaii (1999)
Amaya was best known for having major insecurities and body image issues. Though she did have an ongoing relationship with her housemate Colin, she was never content with her looks, which alienated everyone. There's nothing more irritating than a perfectly attractive young woman constantly complaining, “Ugh I’m so fat!” Too bad Bruno Mars wasn't making female empowerment jams back then.
BETH STORLARCZYK
4. BETH STORLARCZYK
Season: Los Angeles (1993)
If you’re dubbed as a “psycho” by your already rowdy peers, you’ve got issues. As the resident “drama queen” in the household, Beth Stolarczyk had her fair share of tussles with her roomies, though they were entertaining, especially when she was paired up with her BFF Tami. The two were like Thelma and Louise, except crazier.
Aneesa Ferreira
3. ANEESA FERREIRA
Season: Chicago (2002)
Aneesa shook up some of her more traditional house members. She was prone to walking around the house naked and even showering with her male roommates, despite being an out lesbian. Since leaving the house, Aneesa has dabbled in stripping, naturally.
Brooke Labarbera
2. BROOKE LABARBERA
Season: Denver (2006-2007)
Just before Brooke appeared on the show, she dropped her long-term boyfriend in pursuit of sexual freedom. However, she’s less known for her sexcapades and more for her numerous breakdowns. MTV has cast members sign a contract that relieves them of responsibility for mental illness or extreme emotional distress, which would probably include Brooke’s rage blackouts where she would trash a room and admit: “If I could kill [my roommate] with my bare hands, I would.”
Tonya Cooley
1. TONYA COOLEY
Season: Chicago (2002)
Before she posed for Playboy and appeared in Cinemax adult series The Erotic Traveler, Tonya appeared was reality TV's resident "crazy bitch." She was the innocent girl who didn’t have any interaction with gays or African-Americans before the show. She spent most of her time on the phone with her boyfriend and clashing with her roomies. Nowadays, she’s carrying her experienced, insane persona through various iterations of The Challenge and all the way to court, where she’s suing the producers of the show for alleged sexual assault.
