Man Drives 225 Miles with Wife's Body a la "National Lampoon's Vacation"

Can't even imagine....

None

The vacation of an elderly Canadian couple took a turn for the worst when the wife died-in the car-near Pasco, Washington. Understandably distraught, the man decided to driver 225 miles back to their home across the border in Oliver, B.C.

Some time before he approached the border, it must've dawned on him that it might be difficult to get back into Canada with his wife's dead body. He decided to call OnStar, and they talked him into stopping at the local police station. From there, his wife's body was taken to North Valley Hospital where she was officially pronounced dead.

Canadians really don't trust U.S. hospitals, do they? As for the man, this had to be traumatic, but at least his wife died by his side.
