The boys are back and they are dumber than ever. And, we mean that in a good way.

After a thirteen year hiatus, Mike Judge's classic comedy Beavis and Butt-Head made its' triumphant return to television last night during a commercial break for MTV's Jersey Shore.

This strange segway struck us as both slightly ironic and utterly genius, being that Jersey Shore (and other MTV shows including 16 and Pregnant) now serve as the chief pop culture fodder for Beavis and Butt-head's foul-mouthed jabs. Long gone are the days where the duo offered their deliciously offensive commentary on music videos: They've moved on to the greener, more comically-ripe pasture that is reality television.

Amidst gutteral "heh-hehs" and nosalgia-inducing cries of "Cornholio!", the perverted pair gets into their old-school antics in new ways, contracting Hepatitis in a failed attempt to become lady-wooing werewolves, naming Jersey Shore as place where herpes originated and generally being the sarcastic slackers that made us swoon for the better part of the 90's.

Beavis and Butt-Head will be back on MTV, making channel surfing cool again on October 27th at 10 p.m., and you can bet your bunghole we'll be watching.
