Seriously, though, Occupy Wall Street is some real shit. As of today, it has been 38 days since protesters first staged a takeover of NYC's Zuccotti Park. And by sheer numbers, Occupy Wall Street is far from slowing down. A movement that began with 1,000 protesters in Manhattan's Financial District has grown exponentially, reaching over 10,000 protestors in over 900 cities worldwide. Whether you're down with the defiance or are just tired of hearing about it, one thing is not up for debate: These protesters sure know how to make a mean sign.
From poignant to outlandish, down to chuckle-causing and headline-making, OWS protesters' cardboard declarations have captured our attention. They're making their issues and demands known through written wit, and, like any truly clever statement, are succeeding in not only causing laughter, but also some serious thought.
