Saints Row: The Third Might Be the Gift that Keeps on Giving

If you think announcing DLC pre-launch is bad, how about announcing 40 weeks' worth?

Depending on your position on the whole pro-DLC / anti-DLC argument this is either good or bad news. According to THQ’s Brian Farrell, the upcoming Saints Row: The Third will have an incredibly robust DLC offering after its initial launch... as in nearly a year’s worth of additional content.

Although the specifics aren’t being announced at this time, Farrell notes that additional content is planned to span the course of at least 40 weeks following the initial release of the game. Considering that the game is set for release in November, that should keep fans of the series occupied through at least August of 2012, possibly surpassing the traditional Summer-video-game-drought.

Continued support of a game is a great thing, but how much do they plan on taking out of our pockets in order to experience all of this content?
