If you're like us, and you've been enamored with Zooey Deschanel's voice since her breakout shower-singing scene in Elf and have watched every She & Him (her hipster friendly Folk-duo) video on YouTube, then her newest track (below) is something your eardrums will faun over.
Deschanel put her angelic vocal cords to good use for her much-tweeted about Fox sitcom The New Girl, and created this adorably optimistic track for the show's theme song, titled "Hey Girl".
As expected, Deschanel's latest attempt to charm our pants off is embarrassingly effective. We can bet that if she brings even half of that indie-allure to her role as Jess on The New Girl, Fox can consider the show's ratings for tonight's 9 p.m. premiere as good as gold.
