In one of the most bizarre celebrity food promotions since Master P got his own brand of BBQ potato chips, Ben & Jerry's has announced a new flavor of ice cream inspired by the classic "Schweddy Balls" skit on SNL, starring Alec Baldwin, Molly Shannon, and Ana Gasteyer.
According to TIME Magazine, the ice cream is simply named "Schweddy Balls" and is described as a "vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum & loaded with fudge covered rum & malt balls." No word yet on if it has a slight hint of moist gym shorts flavoring as well.
Usually we never indulge in ice cream that liberally uses the word "balls" so much, but we have to admit that this is a pretty sharp marketing scheme on the part of the ice cream conglomerate. Hopefully this isn't the start of more SNL inspired confectionaries, though. We don't think the world can handle "John Belushi's Speedball Sundae" or "Chris Farley's O.D. Delight."

This Ben & Jerry's marketing scheme is nuts.
