HBO continues to pile on the upcoming projects. On the heels of a team-up with author Tom Perrotta, plus the continued work on Aaron Sorkin's More As This Story Develops, the network has picked up the rights to the soon-released novel The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach.

Based at a fictional Midwestern university, The Art of Fielding follows a college baseball star and how one errant throw from him changes the life of five people: the star, his gay teammate and best friend, the team captain, the college's president and his daughter.

No writer is yet attached, but uber-producer Scott Rudin will handle things as EP. Harbach is on the show as a consultant.
