It looks like Julianne Moore's work as Sarah Palin in the HBO movie Game Change has impressed the cable network. TVLine reports that Moore will team with Mildred Pierce director Todd Haynes for Dope, based on the novel by Sarah Gran.
Dope would follow a former heroin addict (Moore) who becomes a private investigator. The potential series would likely try to tap into the same nostalgic look-back at the era as Mad Men. Haynes would serve as producer; Gran wrote the pilot script herself.
