Following up on all the hype created by yesterday's photo of Henry Cavill as Superman, Warner Bros. has released an official photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The photo, which appeared on TheDarkKnightRises.com, was tagged with the file name "selina_kyle.jpg." Director Christopher Nolan always has a unique trick up his sleeve, but is this another one of his mind games?
We guess the cast and crew have agreed to give us something legit, after all those Bane vs. The Bat photos and video leaked on the Internets. But honestly, we're also wondering if this is her complete Catwoman suit? After going ass-out, literally, during a few fight scenes, we were hoping for a costume that's more closer to Darwyne Cook's original design, mask and all.
This Catwoman does have goggles on — and it looks like she'll be navigating through the streets of Gotham in sonar-vision — but that's about it for awesomeness. No whips, no spanx, or even some tight hip-hugging leather for one of our favorite female villains. Hopefully this is just one version of the character's look in the film.
What do you think of Catwoman's outfit? Are you wondering why she's featured riding the Batpod? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
UPDATE: Just Jared has a better look at the Catwoman suit. It's being worn by Anne Hathaway's stunt double. We got an image for you below.

the picture just looks so blah....hopefully a great storyline will compensate... this new series of Batman movies doesn't seem to be about flashy costumes anyway....

True, but it shouldn't be devoid of any sex appeal, especially when it comes to Catwoman/Selina Kyle.

Anne Hathaway is not that attractive to begin with. Bad casting if you ask me....

"...we were hoping for a costume that's more closer to Jim Lee's design, mask and all." FYI, that version of the suit was originally developed by Darwyn Cooke in 2001.

I stand corrected. Been changed. Thanks Michael...
