"Captain America 2" Screenwriters Want To Add The Falcon!

It would be awesome to go straight up, like, Shaft with Cap and the Falcon.

With all the hype surrounding The Avengers, you'd almost forget that all those superheroes had their own franchises. In the case with Captain America: The First Avenger, the star-spangled superstar had one of the most successful debuts of the summer, and we're eager for the sequel. The screenwriters behind the box office smash, Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely, tell NBC Miami's Popcorn Biz that they want to add some special guests to the film's classic, two-fisted war-time actioner.

Namely, it would be love interest Sharon Carter (a lookalike relative of the film's Peggy Carter character) and Cap's sidekick The Falcon, one of the comics' first black superheroes. Given the fact that our boy in blue won't have an excess amount of screen time to complain about his new time-lost status, returning to the flag-waving ‘40s sounds like something fans will be excited to see! In our opinion, having the story feature a modern Captain America, experiencing flashbacks to the ‘40s version of the character, and fighting alongside Sharon, the Falcon, and Tommy Lee Jones' Col. Phillips could potentially be the best direction for the sequel to take.

All of this remains speculative for now, but let us know what you think Marvel should do in the comments section below.
