Android Users Are Big Fans of The iPad

Android may have legions of supporters in the smartphone wars, but when it comes to tablets, even the Google faithful know who's the top dog.

According to industry analyst Mike Walkley of Canaccord Genuity, people who own Android phones prefer to go with iPad when they choose to buy a tablet. This is primarily because consumers believe iPad offers more bang for the buck.

To chip away at Apple's dominance in the field, Walkley believes competitors will have to slash prices and sell their tabs at a comparative discount. Even so, it's not likely that anyone will catch up with iPad's 25 million and counting consumer base this year or even next.
