How's this for an American Idol mystery (one that doesn't involve Steven Tyler's miraculously unmoving forehead)? Bruce Springsteen visited the show last week, in theory to film a segment for the two shows that aired this week... only, those segments never seem to have aired.
Springsteen reportedly was in the studio with the Idol hopefuls, to give them advice on stage presence and "confidence." Considering how Idol flaunts every major celebrity they can get (for instance, Katy Perry and Kanye West last night), it seems bizarre that Springsteen's appearance would not be televised. Will The Boss feature on the show next week? Or are his Idol words of wisdom forever doomed to the cutting room floor?
