Since the American public appears to be perpetually obsessed with zombies—last fall’s premiere of AMC’s adaptation of The Walking Dead comic garnered more viewers than AMC’s flagship show Mad Men—but we don’t have any flesh-eating viruses available to bring us the real thing (yet), there’s always the increasingly popular zombie walk. An annual event put on in Providence by RISDI students has actually stopped traffic and wrought real terror, so the craze is spreading.
In Santa Monica on Saturday, be as decomposed and hungry for brains as you can be by the 5 p.m. meet-up, because the march starts SHARP at 6. And you might be eaten if you’re late. —Finn Cohen
