Ever since the Lord of the Rings trilogy wrapped up in December of 2003, hardcore fans of J.R.R Tolkien’s fantasy masterpiece have been clamoring for an adaptation of its prequel The Hobbit to grace the big screen. And while production issues almost doomed the flick from ever being released, The Hobbit seems like more of a reality than ever with the release of a 10-minute set video posted on director Peter Jackson’sofficial Facebook page.
Keen-eyed fans will certainly recognize the classic mise-en-scéne of the Shire and the inside of Bilbo Baggin's home that was featured in the original trilogy.
The Hobbit, which was first published in 1937, takes place before the Lord of the Rings trilogy and acts as an introduction to the world of Middle Earth.
