New Software Lets You Control Windows 7 Computers Using Kinect

European company brings 'Minority Report' computing to life.

It looks like one the 50 fictional technologies we wished existed actually now exists.

Evoluce, a European software company, has developed a 3D-sensing technology called Win & Ithat works with Xbox 360's Kinect peripheral to allow users to control their Windows 7 computers using hand gestures. Yes, like the Minority Report computers.

Judging from the above video, the software looks sick. We wouldn't want to use it for daily computing, but it would work great as part of a computer-based home entertainment system.

The Win & I software is available now for €20 from Evoluce's website
