140,000 votes later, the results are in, and Alabama RB Mark Ingram has another honor to add to his Heisman and national championship—being the first cover athlete of a sports game decided by consumer vote. After a month of voting on the game's Facebook page, EA Sports has officially announced Ingram as the winner of the NCAA Football 12 "U Want Me" campaign (wow, awkward marketing phraseology much?). The game drops July 12, at which point he'll long have been a member of the Patriots or the Dolphins. Or so Mel Kiper told us last night over a romantic dinnner.
