Live Show Alert: Comic Sarah Silverman in L.A. Saturday (4/16)

With a mouth even the foulest sailor would envy.

This benefit concert gathers a slew of comics together to raise money for preventing and treating malaria. Conan O’Brien, David Arquette, B.J. Novak (The Office) and Elizabeth Banks are slated to appear, as well as one of the funniest comics today, Sarah Silverman. Stand-up, television, movies, music — you name it, she’s brought her acerbic wit to it, tackling subjects like religion, racism and celebrity with an approach that most of mainstream America would describe as “offensive.”

Her recent collection of essays, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee, saw her appearing on a book tour around the country. Here, though, it's back to the stage, her typical forum. —Finn Cohen
