Well, this doesn't come as much of a surprise to us. If you needed anymore proof that the days of unlimited data plans are numbered, here it is.
Verizon's chief financial officer, Fran Shammo, told attendees at a Morgan Stanley conference that Verizon's unlimited data plan cannot last forever. When asked why the company decided to implement the $30 unlimited plan for new iPhone users, Shammo admitted what we already knew: "We didn't really want to put up a barrier to anybody who wanted to come over and experience the Verizon Wireless network."
So, basically, Verizon tried to lure new customers with the ol' bait-and-switch tactic. Ain't that 'bout a bitch?
