Party all the time? Former funnyman Eddie Murphy has been selected as the first ever "Comedy Icon Award" winner, and he'll receive his trophy at The Comedy Awards on March 26. The ceremonies will air on April 10 on (deep breath) Comedy Central, Spike TV, TV Land, VH1, Logo and Nick at Nite.
Murphy, who arguably hasn't been very funny in years, will get the award for being "a modern icon, an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to comedy and whose impact and innovations have changed the landscape and inspired future generations of entertainers." Can't argue with that. Over/under on Pluto Nash references? 4. We'll bet the under.
