Thief 4 was announced back in May of 2009 and the project has gone dark since (not punny, we know). A screenshot has emerged, though—seriously, a literal picture of a screen—revealing what's believed to be an image of the franchise’s hero, Garrett, firing a bow and arrow. It also looks like the game is utilizing a third-person perspective, a departure from the other Thief games. Of course, it raises the question of how similar the gameplay may be to the Assassin’s Creed series. Square Enix teased that the game may be revealed at GDC, which gives us yet another announcement to look forward from the conference. Oh, GDC, why can't you happen every week? [via CVG]
