Bound by the Lasso of Truth, we can't lie: We're excited for a new Wonder Woman series. For a while, it looked like the DC Comics legend, played by Lynda Carter on TV in the 1970s, would never make it back to the small screen. Long thought to be best repackaged as a feature-length film, Warner Bros. decided to take a shot at getting the curvaceous heroine back on the air. Now, according to TV Line, director Joseph McGinty Nichol, a.k.a. McG, is the front-runner to direct the David E. Kelley-produced pilot.

Are we excited about the possibility of McG getting behind Princess Diana of Themyscira? Are we still bound by the Lasso of Truth? McG-directed movies Charlie's AngelsCharlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and Terminator: Salvation were all pretty underwhelming. On the other hand, he does have experience working with women and action from the Charlie's Angels flicks and executive producing more successful TV shows Nikita and Chuck (he produced Chuck's pilot too).
