coolest-tv-stonersSeason six of Showtime's smoke-tacular comedy Weeds premieres tonight and our faces are full of glassy-eyed excitement! Yes, we love Mary Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin, the show's widowed MILF who sells reefer to support her family, but we're actually most amped to see our boy Kevin Nealon, who plays pot-smoking-politician-turned-pot-dealer Doug Wilson. If there's one thing we love more than hot, pot-smoking celebrity chicks, it's getting baked and watching actors pretend to be high (just peep our list of the 25 best stoner comedies of all time). Doug is only one of our personal favorites—check out who else makes the grade as we count down the 10 coolest TV stoners...

High_Tron

#10: TRON CARTER ON CHAPPELLE'S SHOW
Played by: Dave Chappelle
Stoner cred: Hyena-like cackling
Why he's cool: Dope dealing Tron is amazing in every skit he appears in, but he's best in "The Mad Real World", where, as a juice shop employee, he makes a drink out of fruits, a lit blunt, and some cognac. Now just blend a McDonald's meal into a sweet and savory smoothie, and we're good to go! (Seriously, we've thought about doing that before.)

High_Nate_Fisher

#9: NATHANIEL FISHER ON SIX FEET UNDER
Played by: Peter Krause
Stoner cred: Managed a Seattle food co-op
Why he's cool: Nate is the kind of man we want to be: secretly smoking doobies and cheating on the women in his life until the day he dies. We would've given him the top spot, but our lady is suspicious enough as is.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Franco

#8: DANIEL DESARIO ON FREAKS AND GEEKS
Played by: James Franco
Stoner cred: Constantly cuts class
Why he's cool: The archetypal secretly sensitive, cool-guy, slacker stoner, Dan is...is...is... Sorry, we just got lost in Franco's eyes for a moment there. Sigh.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Fez

#7: FEZ ON THAT '70S SHOW
Played by: Wilmer Valderrama
Stoner cred: Daily smoke-filled ciphers with high school friends
Why he's cool: Fez is a heavily accented foreign exchange student from a country of unknown origin. He's also the last kid in his group of friends to lose his virginity. So not only is he fun to laugh at, but he's not gonna seduce your chick and smash her while listening to this.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Oscar_Bluth

#6: OSCAR BLUTH ON ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT
Played by: Jeffrey Tambor
Stoner cred: Long hippie hair, lethargy
Why he's cool: Not only does dopey Oscar have sex with his twin brother George's wife, he also knocks her up and abandons her, leaving his sibling to raise their love child and think that it's his. And they say potheads aren't responsible. Abandonment—it's like the fifth best form of contraception!

High_Otto

#5: OTTO MANN ON THE SIMPSONS
Voiced by: Harry Shearer
Stoner cred: A urine sample so drug-laden it looks like a scene from Yellow Submarine
Why he's cool: Otto, an alcoholic drug addict who loves to get "blotto," listens to loud heavy metal on headphones while wildly driving a Springfield Elementary school bus, and we salute him for it. What? Population control, people!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Nealon2

#4: DOUG WILSON ON WEEDS
Played by: Kevin Nealon
Stoner cred: City councilman...on weed
Why he's cool: A lackadaisical politician, fraudulent accountant, and inept medical marijuana salesman, Doug is proof that there's nothing you can't do when you put your half-baked mind to it. Sure, you may not do any of it well, but you can still do it!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Rev_Jim

#3: THE REVEREND JIM "IGGY" IGNATOWSKI ON TAXI
Played by: Christopher Lloyd
Stoner cred: Memory loss, ability to pinpoint the origins of various drugs like a wine aficionado
Why he's cool: Once an industrious, straight-edge Harvard student from a wealthy family, Jim was on track to become a tight-ass suit. Instead he took one bite of a weed brownie, joined the 1960s counterculture, and wound up a foggy cab driver. Remember, kids: You are what you eat. Try the baked goods.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Towelie

#2: TOWELIE ON SOUTH PARK
Voiced by: Vernon Chatman
Stoner cred: Red eyes, constantly trying to get other people baked
Why he's cool: He's a talking towel who smokes copious amounts of marijuana. If you need more reasons than that, you really need to try inhaling.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High_Shaggy

#1: SHAGGY ON SCOOBY DOO, WHERE ARE YOU!
Voiced by: Casey Kasem
Stoner cred: Always paranoid and hungry, unkempt hippie style
Why he's cool: Shaggy and his friends solve ghost and monster mysteries, and they can all hear his dog Scooby Doo speak. Obviously he's so high that he's hallucinating the entire "child-friendly" series, which he's using to introduce kids to marijuana. That, or we just smoke entirely too much reefer.
