Early Thursday, Zayn hit us with his new track "Let Me." In a sweeping act of generosity, he also unleashed the track's appropriately cinematic video, which ends with a promising "to be continued…" message.

Catch the new video, directed by Jose Padilha from a concept by Zayn himself, in full up top.

Speaking with Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw ahead of the new cut's premiere, Zayn said he's feeling more confident than ever about taking his music on the road. "I'm excited to see what people think of it," he said. "I think my confidence has grown in the last year and a half. It's a bit different to my last record in terms of. It's matured."

With his 2016 album Mind of Mine, Zayn added, he wasn't sure how to approach the industry as a solo artist. His approach will be much different this go-around. "This time around I feel like I am more confident and I really believe in what's going on, so I want to convey that to my fans," he said.

"Let Me," co-produced by Zayn and "Pillowtalk" collaborators MYKL, serves as the first official single from the upcoming sophomore album ZAYN. Writing and recording sessions for the new track took place at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, which is always a good sign. ZAYN doesn't have a confirmed release date, but a general "soon" seems plausible.
