Metro Boomin's purported retirement gets more perplexing by the day.
Just one day after Boomin showed up on the Tonight Show to help Offset and Ric Flair bring the incomparable "Ric Flair Drip" to life with the Roots, Gucci Mane hit Instagram Stories with the claim that he had convinced Boomin to pause his retirement. The catch? According to Guwop, a mere million dollars:

Last week, Boomin seemingly announced his retirement by updating his Instagram bio to dub himself a "retired" record producer and DJ. That update has since been removed. In an Instagram Story update, Boomin wrote that he had "retired from rap."
Boomin is, however, still scheduled for a number of music-related appearances later this year.
Gucci Mane, meanwhile, is far from retired. After greatly improving 2017 with the release of Mr. Davis and El Gato: The Human Glacier, as well as his Boomin collab tape Droptopwop, Gucci is poised to hit fans with new solo album The Evil Genius and the Migos x Lil Yachty supergroup tape Glacier Boyz at some point this year. The group described by at least one writer as "arguably the most important supergroup in the history of music" shot a video for an undisclosed single back in March. In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Yachty shared the open casting info for the Atlanta-based shoot.
