Eric B. and Rakim’s long-awaited reunion tour is finally happening.

On Tuesday morning, the legendary hip-hop duo went to Twitter to announce a 17-date U.S. trek that kicks off in April. They prefaced the tour schedule with a brief statement that reassured their fans the news was legit.

As many of you know, Eric B. and Rakim’s official Twitter account has been at the center of controversy within the past several years due to tweets that were posted without the artists’ knowledge; however, the duo claims that they have now regained control of their verified account.

“We #TakingBackTwitter and that’s just the start. When we tweet it’s real news,” they wrote. “But rather then 140 characters that lands on every hip hop magazine and website in the world, we gonna SHOW you what we mean. It’s just the beginning. More updates to follow [the leader].”

Though they did perform a reunion concert in celebration of Paid in Full’s 30th anniversary last year, Eric B. and Rakim have not toured together in more than two decades. As for new music from the duo? Pitchfork reports that’s it’s “a definite possibility.”

Eric B. and Rakim’s reunion tour kicks off April 8 in Boston, and will include stops in NYC, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, and San Diego, before wrapping up May 3 in San Francisco. You can check out the full schedule below.
