On Friday, Migos came through with behind-the-scenes footage of their upcoming music video for “MotorSport.” And it appears to include everything fans would expect: We see the Atlanta trio alongside Cardi B, as well as shots of sports cars and women dressed in racing suits. The sneak peek looked solid; however, there was one noticeable absence: Nicki Minaj.
The rapper was nowhere to be seen in the BTS video, which, of course, led to many questions and theories from fans.
Shortly after “MotorSport” was released last month, conspiracy theories popped up about the track. Many people wondered how the collaboration between Nicki and Cardi came to be, with some speculating that Nicki was blindsided by Cardi’s involvement. Though Nicki eventually shut down the rumors, insisting she knew about Cardi’s feature prior to the track’s release, some people are still convinced there’s animosity between Nicki and the other four.
Others believe she was unable to do the video because of scheduling conflicts.
It’s unclear why Nicki didn’t appear in the BTS video, but her fans are remaining hopeful.
