Taylor Swift's newly released album Reputation has put up some big numbers. The album, Taylor's sixth studio outing, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album moved 1.238 million equivalent album units. 1.216 million of those were in traditional album sales, making it not only the biggest debut of 2017 but the album with the single biggest sales week of the year. Billboard also reports that Reputation has the "10th largest sales week for any album since Nielsen Music began electronically tracking sales in 1991."

It's Taylor's fifth album to make it to the number one spot. Swift's previous album, 1989, also debuted at the number one when it was released back in 2014. Reputation was released on November 10.

Oh, and Reputation is already the best selling album of the year.

Sam Smith's The Thrill of It All came in at number two while Chris Brown’s Heartbreak on a Full Moon took the number three spot. Post Malone’s Stoney climbed up from number nine to number four and Ed Sheeran’s ÷ got the number five spot.

Offset, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin’ s collaborative album Without Warning slipped one spot from the previous week to number six.
