Om Unit has been challenging and redefining the conventional boundaries of genre and style in regards to electronic music for nearly ten years now. His third album Self is due to be released on Friday (October 27) and serves as a true follow-up to his 2013 debut Threads, following the Inversion album for Metalheadz.
Inspired by ideas of self-healing, Self (the first album on his own Cosmic Bridge label) captures Om Unit in a period of growth, change, and experimentation, blending dubwise, bass-heavy music with the space of '80s-style experimental ambient compositions. This is showcased in the video "What Can I Be" featuring Amos who graces the track with her soulful tones and fills the visuals with a hypnotising performance. Check out the video above.
