It's been a minute since we heard from G.O.O.D. Music in-house producer Benny Cassette, but he's back in a big way today with his new song "Sunrise Sunset." The song is brimming with summertime, easygoing vibes which is, of course, by design. Speaking with Complex via email, Benny explained that since the world is in a "strange place" these days, he's out to make songs people connect to that promote "good energy."

"Sunrise Sunset" and the releases that will follow are all building up to Benny's next project, which follows a loose concept chronicling Benny's past. "My whole project is based on a series of letters I wrote to different people in my life," he said. ["'Sunrise Sunset'] was to a girl I was with at one point and our relationship didn't work out because we were both always busy. When it was time to build the music for the song around the letter I wanted it to be something that reflected where I grew up and the music I heard as a kid. I started with the sample ('Oye Mami') and built the track to what it is now."

This is just the first song from a bunch of new material to follow—"We're releasing a single with a full campaign around it every month for the next few months"—but while Benny's dialed in on his solo career, he revealed he'll be "jumping in on some G.O.O.D. Music projects in the next month." As for the chances that one of those projects is the long-awaited Cruel Winter, well, "It's been in the works for awhile, so we'll see."

Until then, blast "Sunrise Sunset" to get the party started. Look for the song to hit all streaming services tonight at midnight.
