Drake's Views has now racked up more than three billion streams on Spotify. As Billboard pointed out, Music Ally tallied up the total number of the album's streams and found that the album has been streamed 3,043,000,000 times as of Monday.
This is an even more impressive feat considering the rapper originally released his latest studio album as an Apple Music exclusive back in April. The album didn't hit Spotify and other streaming services until May 13. By comparison, Views has been streamed more than a billion times on Apple Music, becoming the first album to do so on Apple's streaming service.
This isn't the only milestone Drake has reached on Spotify. In October, his No. 1 hit "One Dance" surpassed Major Lazer's "Lean On" to become the most-streamed song in Spotify's history with 924.5 million streams.
Still, the rapper has a significant history with Spotify's competition, Apple. The company premiered his "Hotline Bling" video as an exclusive. It has since gone on to spurn thousands of memes and join an elite group of videos with more than a billion views on YouTube. Drake also appeared on stage at the 2015 launch of Apple Music and signed a deal with the company worth a reported $19 million that included the launch of his own OVO Sound Radio show on its Beats 1 radio station.
Drake recently announced his new project,More Life, which is set to drop in December. He debuted three of the songs from the album—"Sneakin," "Fake Love," and "Two Birds, One Stone"—on his Beats 1 show on his 30th birthday. In other news, Drake also fueled speculation about his joint project with Kanye West by posting a cryptic Instagram post on Monday morning. That follows recent rumors that the rapper has also been collaborating with Taylor Swift on some new music.
