Last week, Marvel dropped a playlist that captured the vibe of the recently-released Netflix series Luke Cage. It was made up of material that wasn't featured in the series, but when you hire Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad to bring the perfect sound to the show, you need to make sure the people can grab those sounds...right? That's what makes this new announcement so special.
Mondo will be bringing the Luke Cage soundtrack to yellow vinyl. Spread across two pieces of vinyl, the original score from Ali and Adrian will be pressed on 180 gram "Power Man Yellow" colored vinyl. There's no current word on the soundtrack, but one has to wonder if original songs like the Method Man-featured "Bulletproof Love" or "Feel Alive" will be featured on this release. There's also currently no word where you can pre-order the vinyl, but word is that the vinyl pre-order AND the digital release both happen on Friday, Oct. 7.
