Compton rapper AD debuts his new single, "Thug," which features an appearance from fellow California native YG on Monday afternoon. This is the latest single from AD's upcoming project, By the Way, which he's been prepping for some time now behind the success of his previous single, "Juice," which featured a stellar remix with Game, Ty Dolla $ign, OT Genasis, and IAMSU. AD and YG go back and forth over the Sorry Jaynari-produced track with verses about how they're the perfect type of guy from the streets for the ladies.

AD explained to Complex the track actually came together after he was listening to YG's new album in the studio. "The streets have been wanting us to work for a while, so we finally got a collaboration and that was the product. By The Way came together as a collective with producer Sorry Jaynari of League of Starz, working on a couple records (after 'Juice'). The rest is history," AD said.

This single comes at an opportune time for both artists, as they're each working on upcoming projects, with YG set to finally release his album, Still Krazy, in June. And though just a small taste, YG's verse on "Thug" serves as a reminder of just how good he is, as he paints a vivid picture with fiery rhymes over the bouncy production. You can stream "Thug" below, and stay tuned for more details on AD's By the Way project before it officially drops on June 10.
