Montreal’s Busty & The Bass have never met a groove they didn’t like. The nine-piece band have been jamming at house parties and in dorm rooms since they met at McGill University, making a name for themselves based on an undeniable live performance and a sound that’s best described as a lovechild between jazz, hip-hop, and electro-soul. Busty’s killer horn section shines on the brand new single “Miss Judge,” premiering on Complex today.

“‘Miss Judge’ is our take on how expectations and opinions can mess with your head,” Busty’s lead vocalist Nick Ferraro told Complex over email. “We wanted to let our trumpets vent some frustration over a bunch of different hip-hop influenced grooves.”

Listen to “Miss Judge” below. You can catch Busty & The Bass performing in Toronto at the Opera House during CMW on May 6th. Keep scrolling for more tour dates.
