Beyoncé opens up in her first interview in a while with Garage magazine. In the cover story, Queen Bey shares her proudest moment, which is no small task considering all of her major successes. “Out of everything I’ve accomplished, my proudest moment hands down was when I gave birth to my daughter Blue,” says the mom to hip-hop royalty, Blue Ivy Carter. Of course, Beyoncé gives credit where credit is due when it comes to her skills as a mother to her and Jay Z's daughter. “My biggest hero is and always will be my mother. She has taught me about caring for others, working hard and working smart.”

Even better, Beyoncé takes the opportunity to dish out a reading recommendation to her fans that deals with leadership. "I would love for my younger fans to read What Will It Take To Make a Woman President? by Marianne Schnall. It's a collection of interviews and essays by great women, including Maya Angelou, Gloria Steinem, and Melissa Etheridge. They will inspire you to become a better leader." It's no wonder Bey wants to inspire others to be strong, independent leaders. The singer has built a massive career that allows her the privilege to call the shots when it comes to her own businesses. "I no longer have to work based on someone else's expectations or pressure. I put enough pressure on myself! I love being 100% involved with all my projects and now I'm fortunate enough to do that."

Many are still coming down from Beyoncé's incredible performance at the Super Bowl halftime show where she performed her new single, "Formation" last month. Luckily, everyone will be seeing more of Bey as she heads out on her Formation World Tour that kicks off in Miami, Fla. on April 27. Check out some of her stunning pictures from the interview that have been transformed into a collage of paint by renowned artist, Urs Fischer.
