Adele's '25' Set Another Historic Sales Record

Earlier this week, it was reported that Adele's 25 was on track to break another record as we headed into the holiday. The week's numbers are in and 25 is now the first album to sell over a million copies three separate weeks according to Billboard. In its fifth week of release, 25 sold 1.15 million in pure album sales according to Nielsen Music. The album has now sold a total of 7.13 million copies in the U.S. and secured its fifth straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Locked in the Billboard 200's No. 2 spot is Justin Bieber's Purpose. Chris Brown's new album Royalty scored the No. 3 spot and his eighth consecutive top 10 album. Brown sold 162,000 in pure album sales, marking his largest sales week since 2011's F.A.M.E. debuted at No. 1. Read our review of Royaltyhere.
