Adele’s 25 is on an upward trajectory to becoming one of the best-selling albums ever.

Billboard reports Adele’s third studio album is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the fourth week. But this time it’s a very large number, selling 825,000 units in the week ending Dec. 17 according to Nielsen Music. Of that amount, 790,000 were pure album sales.

When you combine the last four week sales, Adele has sold 5.98 million copies. With these latest numbers, 25 has beaten out Taylor Swift’s 1989 (5.57 million) to become the biggest selling album released in America since Adele’s 21. That album, released in 2001, has sold 11.37 million.

Another fact: 25 is the only album to sell over 695,000 copies in four different weeks. Week one was 3.39 million, week two was 1.11 million and week three was 695,000 copies. With two more tracking weeks left in 2015, Adele's album sales are sure to spike when the holidays come around.
