Yesterday, Jay Z revealed that the streaming service Tidal surpassed the one million users mark, and then teased a celebration was coming in Brooklyn next month. Today, we find out that that celebration is indeed a concert at Barclays Center on October 20 that will also include performances from Prince, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Beyoncé, T.I., and more and be sponsored by HTC. All funds from the show will go directly to charity via the New World Foundation on behalf of Tidal.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale to Tidal subscribers later today via the site, and tickets for the general public will go live on Friday via Ticketmaster. Tickets for the show will range from $74 to $244, but fans will also be encouraged to donate to the New World Foundation fund to help raise even more for the charity.
Tidal will also be streaming the show live on their site, but in a bit of a surprise, everyone will be able to watch the show and not just Tidal subscribers. Viewers will also be able to donate to the charity via the site during the show. Additional names will be added to the lineup leading up to the show on October 20, but you can see the current slate below.
