Earlier this week, DJ Mustard took to Twitter to rant a bit about the producers of "Fancy" supposedly suing the producers of Jidenna's "Classic Man." Mustard said that both songs were rip offs of his sound, but that he wasn't suing anybody because of it.
Today, Mustard called into Hot 97 to talk with Ebro and clarify his earlier statements on the subject. On the matter of taking sounds, Mustard said that he brought sounds from a different era into this generation, while other producers out now are simply taking his sounds and repackaging them. He said that he felt both songs were rips of his sound, but he wouldn't be suing anyone and he doesn't see how they could sue each other. The full interview can be heard above.
