Dame Dash interviews are really something that should never be ignored, and sure enough, his recent hour-long sit down with Sway on Shade 45 is no exception. During the extensive conversation, Dame geared the focus towards his new movie series, Loisaidas, and how he wants to be competitive in Hollywood with the likes of Martin Scorcese and Quentin Tarantino. Of course, with Dame's long history in the rap game, a number of music related topics, such as Kanye West, his current relationship with Jay Z, and recent beef with Jim Jones were all also brought up.
On Kanye, who Dame is currently working with on the film series, he said that following 'Ye's departure from Roc-A-Fella Records, they didn't really interact because they were on separate business paths. On the subject of Jay, who Dame has snapped a few photos with in recent months, Dame said he can't work with him again because some of the people that Jay associates with in business. "That he’s in business with certain people. And it’s tricky for me to say, but just based on where I’m from, I can’t have nothing to do with that…I love Jay, but let’s say I find out any of that shit [is true], I can’t fuck with him at all," Dame revealed.
As far as the situation with Jim Jones goes, Dame downplayed the entire thing and revealed that he will always have love for Jones and his friends. "He’s the kind of brother that I’ll always love…I appreciate him as a friend…It wasn’t over anything that was substantial to me," Dame said.
