Odds are this may be your introduction to the world of Thraxxhouse, a Los Angeles and Seattle-based collective of musicians, designers, and producers that rolls somewhere around 40-something members deep. Thraxxhouse member Yung Bruh is no stranger to Seattle experimental hip-hop: his dad is Ishmael Butler, currently of Shabazz Palaces and formerly of Digable Planets. But he's also an intriguing artist in his own right—last month's ELEGANTANGEL project was a highly based collection of what he called "positive witchcraft." The highlight was "Pink California," a dreamy, motivational West Coast celebration, produced by JoshRefe and featuring fellow crew member Horse Head. Check the video, directed by Terrys Tacos, above for instant positive vibes, and keep up with Thraxxhouse's upcoming releases here.
