The 21-year-old Cameroonian-born, Los Angeles-based singer/rapper/songwriter Lorine Chia made waves with her highly-acclaimed Naked Truths project, and now she's gearing up for her next EP simply titled Sweet Noise. On the first single "Let Me Fly," produced by Rami Beatz, Chia begs for clarity and freedom from her daily stresses. Past releases from Chia relied heavily on soulful production paired perfectly with her raspy, bluesy vocals—"Let Me Fly" is no different, but only a peek into her progression as an artist.
"The cover basically explains it all. Super heroine songstress Lorine Chia takes a day off from saving the day with her power of Music ya know?" Chia told Complex. "Sometimes I wish I could just get up and fly away alone without my phone or a worry in the world. I think I might have to do that one day. This EP Sweet Noise is all about getting away from those recurring stresses that come with life, making dreams come true and just being happy—finally things I'm starting to do in my life right now."
