Wale has reportedly split with Roc Nation, and will be taking his talents to a new management group a source told XXL today. Wale had been signed to Jay Z's management group since 2009, though the recent split was apparently mutual. Roc Nation management, which is the home of the likes of Rihanna, Meek Mill, Kanye West, and more, has already removed Wale from their list of artists represented on their website.
Wale will reportedly be signing on with 77 Management Group going forward, which is run by Leonard Brooks, Rich Paul, and Maverick Carter, and is also the firm that handles the majority of LeBron James' management affairs. As of right now it isn't known what this means for Wale's upcoming album, An Album About Nothing, which he is planning on dropping this fall. Earlier this summer, Wale was called out by Meek Mill on Twitter, and was accused of not really being MMG.
