Though Gucci Mane's camp has kept his name relevant in hip-hop this summer with the release of numerous projects, it looks like the Atlanta MC won't be getting out of jail for at least two years. Gucci was sentenced to 39 months in federal prison today for a firearms conviction related to two incidents in September, according to the AJC.  Because Gucci has been incarcerated for 11 months following his arrests last fall, he is looking at a 28 month sentence, which will be followed by three years of probation.

According to the report, Gucci, whose government name is Radric Davis, has requested that he be transferred to a prison on the West Coast so that he can cut ties with negative influences in Atlanta and undergo drug treatment during his time in prison. We will continue to update this story when more details are made available.
