Last night, Nas hit the tweets to make the above statement about feminism, which he apparently considers "The Woman's Mafia." He followed it up with the following:

As gracious as that may have seemed, the reactions ranged from eyerolls to enthusiasm. Twitter's recent skirmishes over issues related to gender primed this discussion to spin outward even before it happened. Add to that Nas' deified position in hip-hop, and the seemingly short-sighted (and confusing) meaning of his tweet, and you have the perfect environment for a serious Rap Twitter conflageration.
But most importantly, it was also a venue for humor. A look at Twitter's reaction to Nas' decision to venture into the world of gender politics.
