Codes is one of those dudes that's completely locked down his own sound. Self described as "Brooklyn Bounce," it's taken on a number of incarnations and vibes but the sound design and overall aesthetic has remained incredibly consistent. He recently posted his official remix for Rudimental and Emeli Sande's "Free" that Codes has described as one of the first original tunes that really got him in the heart in some time and it took a ton of versions to get to this heatrock now posted on his soundcloud for streaming. Maybe some projects really do take longer than others, but Codes has this party vibed house game locked up in 2014, in my opinion. With an EP due soon on Slow Roast, he seems to be settling into things quite nicely and ready to lace shit in Miami this week. Peep the tune and his Miami Music Week schedule below.
