Wiz Khalifa's Uncle Shot and Killed In Pittsburgh, One Suspect Identified

Wiz Khalifa's uncle Imani Porter was shot and killed last night (January 8) in Munhall, Pennsylvania near The Waterfront shopping center. He was 20 years old.

According to several reports, the incident happened at about 8 p.m., when Porter was shot in the head while sitting in the front seat of a car in the parking lot. Porter was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital in critical condition. He died later in the night. Police describe the suspects as two black males, who reportedly fled the scene in a white Pontiac. According to police, heroin was found inside of the car, as well as on the ground surrounding the car. They believe some type of illegal activity was involved. 

Wiz Khalifa mourned the death of his uncle on Twitter, stating "Rest in peace Imani. You['re] with Allah now. My uncle was younger and more level headed than all of us. I would have never seen this happening in a million years."

UPDATE 1/10/14 5:10PM: A suspect has surrendered himself to Pennsylvania police in connection to the death of Wiz Khalifa's uncle, Imani Porter. According to a report from ABC News, that individual has been identified as 17-year-old Jaron Young. Homicide detectives believe he and another male suspect planned to purchase heroin from Porter before shooting him in the head. Young is being charged as an adult with criminal homicide.
